Several years ago, before I even started my blog, I created some Spring Jars with little garden and Easter scenes. I just thought they were the cutest things ever- y’all know I love miniature ANYTHING! And when I reposted the old photo on my Facebook page, the positive response was overwhelming- so, here we are, with a long overdue project post.
These were the original Spring jars- albeit, this a better photo than the one I originally posted! But, nonetheless- these are the original jars that prompted this post.

Surprisingly, though, I didn’t have any clear vintage jars in my stash- how did that happen? So I headed to a favorite local antiques shop to re-stock…and specifically looked for wide mouth jars. And this peanut butter jar, complete with a Spring-y yellow top, was ideal!

These’ll do nicely…
The vision I had in my mind for this newest Spring Jar involved a little potting table. So I assembled a variety of miniature “bits” and crafting supplies- some of which I already had from previous projects (like the popsicle sticks). But I had to shop for the miniature dollhouse gardening darlings– I know, poor me.

Gathering some Spring-y bits!
To create my potting table, I simply used plain popsicle sticks which I cut to size and then hot glued together into a basic table shape. Oh, and I cut out a circle of green fabric that fit perfectly in the bottom of my jar.

…and we have a cute little potting bench!
Then I just needed to bring my potting table to life! To make everything easier- I hot glued it all! Table to fabric…pots to table…and so on. Other than the stacked pot inside the bottom one, everything was attached with glue.

And then…it was done. And simply, truly darling.

I did, however, make an additional jar- this one using a large vintage Atlas jar. I desperately wanted to use those vintage miniature red and white toadstools from my stash (similar to these)! So I created a little scene with reindeer moss, mini ‘shrooms, and a dollhouse pitchfork.

With my Spring jars all put together, I am ready to decorate for the season! And just think, you can have a sweet little garden (in a jar) without getting dirt under your nails.
